Ayyy nice 970 ;) Got one as well!
I wanted to buy a 1080, but I couldn't constitute paying the price when I don't use my graphics card all that much

Built this PC a couple of months ago, mainly used for running high-end virtual machines.

I still need to delid and re-IHS the cpu, just haven't had time yet. (got the gallium for the OC)

Things to note:
- Ram is DDR4 (2400MHz)
- CPU and GPU are liquid cooled (CPU is an open loop, GPU is a closed loop)

(Old picture, but same case)

Nothing special anymore, I am going to be working on a totally new build probably in the next couple of years. This is a custom build by me, wouldn't have it any other way honestly.

Windows 7
Intel i7-2600k quad core
16gb RAM
2X GeForce GTX 660's running in SLI
ASRock Z77 Extreme motherboard

It has served, and will continue to serve, me well.

So this week I built my first computer, something that I've wanted to do for a long time, ever since I got my first job really, but have only now been able to afford while also managing other expenses.

I spent a total of $960USD on the build, making this perhaps a more mid-range build as opposed to the budget build I had aimed for originally.

The specs:
  • CPU:
    • Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core Processor
  • Motherboard:
    • ASRock - Z370 Pro4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
  • Memory:
    • Kingston - FURY 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2666 Memory
  • Storage:
    • Samsung - 960 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
    • Seagate - BarraCuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
  • Video Card:
    • Zotac - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Mini Video Card
  • Case:
    • Cooler Master - MasterBox 5 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case
  • Power Supply:
    • Corsair - CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
  • Wireless Network Adapter:
    • TP-Link - Archer T6E AC1300 PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter

Pretty bad but I'm still going to share it I guess.

Intel I5 4460
Nvidia GTX 750
8GB RAM (1X8) DDR3
1 TB HDD
650W power supply

Running this with 2 monitors and I can run basically every pack on the network with this, for now. Planning to upgrade in the near future.
